I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Fourth! We celebrated a day early with a picnic at the Ambassador's Residence on Friday. The theme of the party was American Vintage--hotdogs, hamburgers, bottles of Coca Cola, soft serve ice cream--so much fun! After a week of very high temps, the weather gods were smiling on us and provided a not too hot afternoon. So thankful! My good friend Kelley and her daughter were able to join us this year and it was a blast. While Josephine and Madeline had the time of their lives jumping on the bouncy castle and frolicking about on the lawn, it was playing in the big wheelbarrows filled with ice and drinks that was the big hit for them. It's always those little things that are the most fun for toddlers! ;)
