One of the most British things I can think of--besides drinking tea--is getting all fancied up, putting on a big hat (or sky-high fascinator) and attending some posh soiree. It's just so quintessentially British. And while people here don't walk around in fascinators and morning dress on the regular--oh, but how amazing would that be??--they sure do know how to rock those posh fashions! I spent most of our time at the Royal Ascot staring at the incredible dresses and hats. And the men weren't too shabby, either, in their morning dress and suits. We were lucky enough to snag tickets in the Royal Enclosure, so had prime viewing of the Royal Procession and all of the excitement at the finish line. Though I kind of forgot we were there to watch some horse races. The fashion! So pour yourself a Pimm's and take a little gander at all the pageantry :)
And for those wondering--my dress is here from ASOS and my hat was borrowed from my very stylish grandmother who would have fit right in with all those fashionable ladies--thanks, grandma! :)

  1. I am so envious of your Royal Ascot experience! You and Pete looked so fancy! This is one of those things on my list if we have to ever leave London.
