All I can think about when I look at this picture is how much we stressed over her not walking until later than most babies. And now she is running, climbing, hopping (well, attempting to), twirling. If ever there was a time in life that would benefit from seeing into the future, I think parenthood is it. All of the silly little things we wouldn't worry about and lose sleep over if we could just see that the future is bright and all is okay.

And while we're on the subject... I have to laugh whenever someone mentions how much she talks for a two year old. "Well, that's because she didn't walk until she was almost 18 months old! All her energies went to language!" is my usual response. Lately I get a kick out of the things that come out of her mouth. She's a hoot! And of course there are the times I'm mortified at her timing. Like when she let out a loud "that's WEIRD!" after a very kind woman helped me get our stroller on to the bus today. Thank goodness the woman had a good sense of humor. You can't make this stuff up! Ay y y.

Switching gears, the health challenge I was participating in wrapped up yesterday. I ended 4 pounds down from where I started, but honestly losing weight wasn't really all that big of a deal to me. I am just so thankful to have established some healthier habits... drinking enough water, eating cleaner, making exercise a priority. I feel strong and healthy. And I have no plans of going back! Whoop!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xo
