GIFTS FOR THE HOST(ESS)

Tis the season for lots of get togethers and the inevitable (maybe a bit panicky) thoughts of what to bring the host or hostess. I rounded up some of my favorite ideas for you here! Some DIY, some not-- I know time can be of the essence this time of year. Just being real over here. :)
+ lemon and lavender sugar hand scrub. fill a 4 oz. mason jar with raw or turbinado sugar. pour in 1/2 cup of melted coconut oil and 3 drops each of lemon and lavender essential oil. give it a mix! so simple and something that will surely be a much loved (and used) gift this time of year. i've already made a bunch of these to gift!

+ tea or dish towels. i love these and this one! simple white is always a classic, too. you could also include a unique serving spoon or something like these salad servers... how fun are those??--just roll it up in the towel and secure with some pretty baker's twine.

+ curried cashews. we made them for gifts last year and they were a hit. go ahead and make several batches of these. you will want to keep some for yourself ;)
+ tea. put the tea bags in a mason jar to "dress them up" a bit. find a fun herbal blend or just a tea you are currently loving. i am obsessed with this flavor lately!

+ a nice bottle of wine or a yummy microbrew in a fun tote bag. personally, i believe you can never have too many canvas bags. especially quirky ones! ;)

+ pretty stationery. a set of thank you cards is great to gift, especially during the holidays. or just some "everyday" notecards would be wonderful.

Happy gifting!
