One of my favorite places to walk around was Rue Cler. We stopped there to grab breakfast on our first full day in Paris before heading to the Eiffel Tower. It was a street lined with cute cafes, shops, patisseries, fruit stands. Very few, if any, cars drove down the road as we walked. I loved how free we were to walk at Josephine's pace, taking everything in. We had the best cup of coffee, a cafe au lait, at Le Petit Cler. All other cups of coffee were doomed after that one. And none lived up to it the rest of the trip. Highly recommend stopping in if you ever find yourself in Paris! Josephine took a little snooze in the sling after our time at the Eiffel Tower, so we found ourselves wandering back down Rue Cler once again that afternoon. It would be so great to stay in that area the next time we visit Paris. So much to see and do!
It was so neat seeing the Eiffel Tower in person. It's massive when you get right up close. We bought tickets to go all the way to the top... amazing views! Although, the elevator "malfunctioned" once we got to the top, so we ended up having to walk alllll the way down. Lots of steps! And I got a case of vertigo halfway down. Wanted to kiss the pavement when my feet touched it. But other than that minor issue I am so glad we did it! When in Paris, you know?
The following day was a bit of a washout, sadly, but we still managed to visit Notre Dame. That was one place we definitely "got in and got out." We've gotten used to this kind of sight-seeing in the past several months. It's just one of the realities of traveling with little ones. All Josephine wanted to do was splash in the puddles outside. She was not having any of that "be quiet and don't touch that... we are in a sacred, holy place" stuff. So we took a quick look around and then went outside to let her puddle-stomp to her little heart's content. Happy child, happy parents. :)
Can't wait to share the final installment of our trip with you all tomorrow!

Find part one of our trip, here. :)

On an unrelated note, I try to keep my essential oil stuff separate, but I wanted to let you know I will be hosting an online class next Tuesday (November 25th) all about oils. What they are, how to use them, and more. If you are wondering what they are about or are interested in learning more, please "join" me!! You can RSVP for the class here. Happy Weekend!! xo
