SO LONG STINK

I tried to come up with a prettier title for this post but figured you just have to call it what it is. Diaper pail stink is my nemesis, you guys. If you use disposable diapers then you definitely know what I am talking about. And I bet you cloth diapering mamas deal with something similar. That unpleasant smell that seems to permeate the air in your little one's nursery after every stinky diaper change. Even if you have one of those fancy diaper genies (like we do) the smell is still there. It is the WORST. I wanted to share a little tip that is the bomb for getting rid of that odor. I put 3-4 drops of Purification on a cotton ball and place it right in the diaper pail bag. So super simple and that stink is no where to be found. Purification is a purifying, disinfecting and odor-neutralizing blend of citronella, lemongrass, rosemary, tea tree, lavandin and myrtle. It doesn't just cover up the odor like other room sprays--it actually neutralizes it. I was in so much disbelief the first time I tried this that I stuck my nose right in that  diaper pail. Just replace the cotton ball every time you empty the pail and you will be doing a little stink-be-gone happy dance!

There are SO MANY other uses beyond stinky diapers. Here are some other great ways to use Purification...

- add 3-4 drops in your washing machine (best to use a "free and clear" detergent without any other perfumes or dyes) with a load of sweaty exercise clothes. For extra odor-busting add a couple drops to your dryer balls (these are great) before drying!

- diffuse for up to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours to get rid of odors in the air. This is great after cooking smelly dishes, like bacon or fish, that you don't want lingering around in the air. Also great for eliminating odors from pets and litter boxes.

- apply a couple drops directly to blemishes to "calm them." I do this all the time! You can also mix some drops in with your moisturizer and apply to your face at night. Just be careful not to get in your eyes.

- put 3-4 drops on some cotton balls and place them in shoes to get rid of odor.

- make your own bug repellent: in a 4 oz. glass spray bottle add 3 oz. distilled water, 1 oz. witch hazel and 25 drops Purification. Shake it up and go. And if you happen to forget your repellent and get eaten alive by mosquitos, apply a couple drops directly to the bites to relieve itching!

- mix 2-3 drops in with some coconut oil and apply to cuts, scrapes or burns to help speed up the healing process.

Really, the uses are endless!
