Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. The weather was just perfect here. Not too hot. The sun was shining. It was the kind of weekend where you try to find any excuse to be outside 'til the sun goes down. Some friends of ours threw us the sweetest going away party on Saturday. It was UK-themed, of course. Complete with red, white + blue balloons, the union jack and some british brews. We had kabobs, a really refreshing watermelon salad, and the most delicious rosemary infused lemonade. It was all so, so good! Josephine was a bit of a clinger at the beginning of the party. She's going through a phase where she freaks out whenever we are in a large group of people she isn't familiar with. So she spent the first hour curled up in my lap, refusing to make eye-contact with anyone. That is until she got her hands on "Auntie" Steph's Blackberry. All was right with the world after that! ;)
We are so lucky to have a great group of college friends that live near us. And one of our friends (hi, Danielle!) even came down from NYC just to send us off. We don't get to see everyone near as much as we would like. But no matter how long we go between visits, we just pick up right where we left off.  That's the mark of true friendship, if you ask me. Leaving these people behind makes the move so bittersweet. Visits to London better be in their future... hint, hint!
