SUMMER-READY SKIN

Summer is right around the corner and that means bare legs and a beach vacation are in my very near future. I am not a sun-worshipper, but I really like to have a nice, sun-kissed glow in the summer months. Such the conundrum. That self-tanning mist is amazing! Really. I think the last time I tried a self-tanner was back in high school and it was not pretty. Orange and streaky. Very unattractive. This mist is tinted so you can see where you are applying it, and it leaves you with a natural looking tan. Just a tip: I spray it on in sections, rubbing it in a bit as I go to make sure it is evenly applied. Be sure to wash your hands if you do this, though, or else you will be left with brown palms... dead giveaway. Ha! Before self-tanning it's always best to exfoliate. Especially your elbows, knees, and ankles. The Boot's brand body scrub is super affordable, and it leaves your skin feeling so soft and moisturized. Follow everything up with a hydrating body cream and you will be ready to flaunt those shorts! ;)

You certainly can't forget your feet in all this. I like to apply a rich foot cream at night, and cover my feet with socks while I sleep. I also exfoliate my feet with a pumice stone in the shower whenever I can remember to. I like to try for at least once a week. It really does help. Those polishes are some of my faves for summer. The 'watermelon' color is currently on my toes.

Any other favorites for summer-ready skin? I am intrigued by this body brush. Have any of you tried dry brushing?
