We are moving to London in less than two months. He-llo! I feel like this big move really snuck up on me. I mean we have known about it for over a year now, but it really hasn't started to sink in that we are really doing this until recently. But, things are falling in to place. We found out where in London we will be living! For anyone who knows about London neighborhoods, it's a cute apartment in the Maida Vale area. London-savvy I am not. But I am doing a lot of googling. Looking into all of the important things... like where I can continue to take barre class while we are there. Priorities. ;) We are checking things off the "stuff to do before we move" list. We have our diplomatic passports and visas. The movers are all scheduled. We met with a lawyer to draft a will and to talk about other things that made us feel very adult and responsible. We're really doing this!
I mentioned this a bit in yesterday's post, but my feelings are all over the place about this move. I am so excited on the one hand, but I am sad to leave this little life of ours here. We have a routine down. We have great friends, both old and new. We have our favorite spots. I know we will find all of those things in London, too, but it's going to take some time.  If you haven't noticed, I don't do well with change. At least not in the beginning. I am a creature of habit. A planner. I'm already bracing for how my world will be rocked those first couple of weeks. Yikes! So, anyway, that's where we are at with everything. It's getting close! And if any of you have tips for traveling a long flight with a toddler, send them my way. Please and thank you!

We took all of these pictures a couple weekends ago at the Taste of Merrifield. There were food trucks, vendors, live music. It was held at Mosaic... yep, that place I keep going on and on about. ;) It's a place that will surely be missed! And, all these photos were shot on my brand new camera... ooh la la. I can't tell you how much I love this camera. Night and day from the old one we had!

  1. So excited for you guys! I'm totally the same way as you - I'm a planner. I get nervous and excited all at the same time with big changes. I know it'll be tough in the beginning but I have no doubts you'll make it work perfectly and your transition over there will be a breeze! Just the thought of it makes me SO excited! Best of luck and safe travels! Although, I should be saying that closer to when you leave! hehe xo

  2. Our kids practically have the same hair. Yes, you just wrote all sorts of important things and THAT is what I have to say. LOL
