Happy first day of Spring, guys! The sun is shining here and it is making its way to 60 degrees later today. Hooray! We're not going to even talk about the fact that it may snow next week. Nope. Not going to talk about it... With spring officially here, I am in full on Easter planning mode. I'm really trying get ahead of the game this year, so I put together some fun ideas for our family Easter baskets.

The Duck and Goose books are all great, and I can't wait to add this one to Josephine's collection! Of course bunny jammies are a must for any little one's Easter basket. I am a huge fan of all of Gap's pjs... so soft. These sparkly flats just scream spring time. An Easter basket isn't complete without a stuffed animal, and I've had my eye on this one for a while now... of course I am a sucker for the name! I plan on getting a couple of fun snacks for Josephine's basket, too. Bunny grahams will definitely be one of them. I picked up this basket (in purple) for Josephine at Target yesterday. Love!

Grown-ups are never too old for Easter baskets, am I right?! I've got my eye on some fun things for Pete and me, too. Whenever I walk into Anthropologie, I want to buy every.single.thing. in the home department (and every.single.thing. in the rest of store... let's be honest). This mug would be just right for my morning cup of coffee. It's nice and big, and the color is a perfect spring-time yellow. The Capri Blue line of candles are heavenly. I am obsessed with the volcano scent! This headband would be perfect for those days when I just don't feel like doing anything with my hair. The little bit of sparkle would add a bit of polish to even the worst mom-hair days. I just thought these straws would be fun to sip on some iced tea or lemonade. And this nail polish is a pretty peachy-pink, just right for spring toes!

Pete really likes the JCrew slim fit polos, so of course I had to include this one in his basket. And some fun work socks, too! (can't seem to find them online anymore, but they're from Gap). I couldn't pass up a mug in honor of our big move across the pond. Man soap. Enough said. Pete has been talking about getting a moleskin journal to jot down thoughts and other important things. I really like the idea of adding something meaningful and unexpected to an Easter basket. This journal would certainly fit the bill.

We are a Cadbury Creme Egg, Reese's Peanut Butter Egg, and Peeps type of family. The staler the better for the Peeps...anyone else do that? Or are we just weirdos. What are your Easter candy faves?
And a little fun fact... Easter happens to fall on Pete's big 3-0 this year! Even more reason to celebrate!
